The Dance Company provides competition opportunities for dancers looking to increase their skills and experience.
The Dance Company’s Competition Team competes in the Omaha, Council Bluffs and Kansas City areas during the spring semester.
We value excellence and encourage our dancers to strive to be the best they can be, and we encourage a healthy team atmosphere where dancers support each other and build one another up.
We believe dancers should be well-rounded individuals who need the freedom to explore all avenues and opportunities available to them. Our team is comprised of dancers who participate in a variety of extracurricular activities and come from many different backgrounds.
Dancers are expected to make a year-long commitment to the team and are required to be at rehearsals. We begin our team choreography in the summer months and we host an annual summer intensive, Pacific Dance Project. Instructors from Kansas City and the West Coast give classes exclusively to our team dancers over several days. Choreographers from PDP will also set a competition piece on a select group of dancers.
